Introduction
The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures is a vulnerability database is being maintained by the United States' Homeland Security Systems Engineering and Development Institute FFRDC, which is operated by The MITRE Corporation with funding from the US National Cyber Security Division of the US Department of Homeland Security. This system was firstly officially being publicly launched in September 1999, and has become the most famous and the most well-known vulnerability database all around the world.
